The delegation of Saudi businessmen headed by the President of the Council of Saudi Chambers Sami bin Abdullah Al-Obeidi, who is visiting Mauritania these days, held trade talks with a number of Mauritanian ministers. He started the meeting with the Minister of Fisheries and Maritime Economy of Mauritania Yahya Ould Abdel-Hamid. The richness of the maritime fishing sector in Mauritania and the promising opportunities it offers to Saudi investors.
During the meeting, the delegation discussed investment opportunities in the agricultural field in Mauritania and listened to a presentation by the Minister on the reality and prospects of investment opportunities in the field of rural development and the qualifications of Mauritania attracting investment, namely soil fertility, availability of agricultural land and livestock, Over the past years and increased agricultural production, especially the rice crop.
While the President of the Council of Saudi Chambers, Dr. Sami al-Obeidi, their interest in learning about investment opportunities in Mauritania and study ways to benefit from them.
In the same context, the Saudi delegation met with the Minister of Trade, Industry and Tourism of Mauritania, where the Minister reviewed the reality and horizons of investment opportunities in Mauritania in the fields of extractive industries, fisheries and livestock. She also discussed the incentive investment regulations and the facilities available to foreign investors, providing opportunities for partnerships with their Mauritanian counterparts and benefiting from markets at the regional and African levels.
She praised the efforts exerted by the joint Saudi-Mauritanian committee to boost cooperation between the two countries in various fields, especially economic ones.
