Sharjah Summer Festival” from July 11 to the end of August

Sharjah Tourism and Tourism Development Authority (SCTDA) has announced the first edition of the Sharjah Summer Festival for two consecutive months from 11 July to the end of August 2018. This is in line with the success of the Sharjah Summer Campaign last year and the promotion of Sharjah’s reputation as an ideal destination for family tourism.
The launch of the festival comes in line with Sharjah Tourism Vision 2021, which aims to increase tourism flows to Sharjah to reach 10 million by 2021.
The festival, which is organized by Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority in cooperation with the government and private sectors in the emirate, is divided into two internal activities, including commercial centers and outdoor activities including beaches and water destinations.
Khalid Jassim Al Madfaa, Chairman of Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority, said: “The importance of the festival is one of the qualitative initiatives that will promote the tourism, cultural and recreational elements in Sharjah, revitalize the internal tourism movement and diversify recreational sources of the emirate. And through the Sharjah Summer Festival, we seek to promote the attraction of the Gulf markets, which are the largest markets exporting tourists to the emirate.
“We are looking forward to organizing a successful festival by all standards, taking into account the emirate’s leadership on the tourism map locally, regionally and internationally, and we are confident that the festival will be an important hub for attracting more tourists to the emirate.”
