Human Resources Authority signs MoU with International Human Resources Management Association

The Human Resources Authority and the International Human Resources Management Association (SHRM) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to discuss cooperation mechanisms in the areas of developing strategies and policies, participation in conferences and professional forums held by the Authority or the Association, and exchanging knowledge and expertise in areas of mutual interest. The MoU is part of the Authority’s strategy to build an integrated human resources legislative system, develop human capital and enhance citizen participation in the labor market. The Authority is always looking forward to developing strategic cooperation mechanisms with many international institutions related to human resources in order to accelerate implementation of Abu Dhabi vision .

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Acting Director General of the Human Resources Authority and Joni S. Taylor, Executive President of the International Human Resources Management Association (SHRM).

He stressed the importance of cooperation and partnership with international institutions and associations to serve the Authority in implementing its initiatives and taking advantage of the best international practices in the field of human capital development, creating channels of communication and communication with experts and specialists, and strengthening cooperation and partnership relations, thus accelerating the process of increasing the contribution of national cadres in the labor market.

He added that the Authority, in accordance with its strategic plan and its work in the community development pillar within the initiative of Tomorrow 21, will continue to work with partners, review and develop laws, regulations, legislation and general frameworks, ensure compliance by government agencies with human resources laws and legislation in the Emirate, Human resources, and enhancing the level of citizen participation in the labor market.

For his part, the Executive President of the United States-based Human Resources Management Association signed the Memorandum of Understanding with the Human Resources Authority as the first step to strengthen strategic and long-term cooperation and partnership relations to serve the Authority’s objectives in enhancing the capacity of government agencies in resource management. Development and empowerment of human resources strategic plans and encourage capacity-building for excellence.

The Human Resources Association (SHRM) is the world’s largest human resources community with a membership of about 300,000 members representing 165 countries. It provides professional consultancy and training courses in accordance with international standards and best practices in human resources management. The Society has 575 branches In the United States of America and regional offices in China, India and the United Arab Emirates.
