“Smart Services” provides 1.3 billion dirham to government agencies within 3 years

The value of the financial savings of federal government agencies as a result of the application of smart and electronic services amounted to 1.3 billion dirhams over the past three years, according to statistics issued by the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority represented by the smart government initiative.

The security and justice sector topped the list with 40.59%, followed by the financial and economic sectors with 32.90%, the infrastructure, the environment and energy, the third with 11.70%, the education sector with 9.76% and the affairs sector Social Services ranked fifth with 3.58 per cent, health and other sectors seventh by 0.86 per cent and 0.60 per cent, respectively.
The security and justice sector has also been the highest in terms of material savings over the past three years, with the surplus in 2017 amounting to more than 290 million dirhams, while the social sector in 2015 was less than AED 3 million.
