S&P, Nasdaq Rise, Dow virtually Unchanged

The broader U.S. stock market rose Thursday.

The Dow Jones industrial average was virtually unchanged, rising 5.14 to 26,541.96. Eighteen of the index’s 30 components gained.
The broader Standard & Poor’s 500 index rose 11.14, or 0.4 percent, to 2,924.92, ending a four day losing streak.
The technology-heavy Nasdaq composite index rose 57.79, or 0.7 percent, to 7,967.76.
