Stimulate innovation in business through the “National Emerging Program”

The Ministry of Economy, as part of its participation in the government accelerators in its third payment, signed memorandums of understanding to launch the “National Program to Support Modern and Innovative Start-Up Companies” with 14 government entities.
The National Program to Support Modern and Innovative Start-ups is one of the initiatives adopted within the framework of the challenges launched within the government accelerators, which the Ministry of Economy is spearheading in its 100-day effort to stimulate and develop innovation in the country’s business sector and enhance its position on the Global Innovation Index.
The signing of memorandums of understanding comes as part of the cooperation to complete the steps of launching the program officially during the next phase and laying the foundations of the first integrated system to support projects and enterprises that carry out innovative activities in the country by developing a unified definition and specific criteria that are compatible with the requirements of national indicators of innovation. Of the program in order to enable these projects to benefit from the incentives and facilities provided by the supporting parties under the program.
HE Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori, Minister of Economy, said that the development of the UAE’s innovation system is a continuous process with a vision of sustainable future aiming to consolidate its role in a practical way as a major development engine. The State is taking successive steps to consolidate the culture of innovation and stimulate creativity in various sectors.
He pointed out that the support of innovation-based startups through this program is a valuable addition to the efforts of various stakeholders to achieve the objectives of Vision 2021, in particular to build a competitive global knowledge and innovation based on national competencies and a practical translation of the pillars of the national strategy For innovation that aims to make the UAE one of the most innovative countries in the world in the coming years
