UAE-Germany Economic Committee discusses cooperation in future economic sectors

The Governments of the United Arab Emirates and the Federal Republic of Germany have agreed to expand cooperation in a number of areas of mutual interest, notably the strengthening of trade and investment cooperation frameworks and the development of economic partnership to higher levels.
The two countries also agreed on a set of tracks for the development of partnership and cooperation in the areas of energy, climate policies and the green economy. Infrastructure also came as a major hub for cooperation, including railway networks, maritime transport and civil aviation, as well as cooperation in health care, education, agriculture, food security, standards and standards. This came during a meeting of the 11th session of the German-German Economic, Commercial and Technical Cooperation Committee, which was held in the German capital of Berlin under the chairmanship of His Excellency Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, Minister of Economy representing the Government of the UAE and HE Peter Altmayer, Minister of Economic Affairs and Energy.
The meeting comes as part of an extended visit by a high-level official and trade delegation from the UAE to the Federal Republic of Germany and the Republic of Hungary to discuss prospects for economic cooperation and strengthen trade and investment frameworks with these two European countries.
The visit of the delegation to Germany included a number of activities related to the work of the Joint Economic Committee, most notably a tour of His Excellency Minister Mansouri and a number of members of the delegation of the State on a group of the headquarters of major German companies and innovation centers and landmarks in Berlin, And a large group of investors and private sector companies in Germany, where the meeting saw the participation of about 20 officials from German government agencies and more than 114 representatives of the German private sector, while the delegation of the State about 30 senior representatives of federal and local government and the number From investors and businessmen.
The delegation was attended by HE Eng. Mohammed Ahmed bin Abdul Aziz Al Shehhi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Economy for Economic Affairs, HE Mattar Al Nayadi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Energy and Industry, and HE Abdullah Sultan Al-Shamsi, Assistant Undersecretary for Trade Processing Sector Ministry of Economy, HE Mattar Abdullah Al Hamli, Assistant Undersecretary for the Support Services Sector at the Ministry of Education, HE Hamid Mohammed Bin Salem, Secretary General of the UAE Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Nasser bin Majid Al Qasimi, General Manager of the Emirates Authority for Standardization and Metrology, HE Ibrahim Al Zaabi, Director General of the Insurance Authority, HE Mohammed Al Hamli, Undersecretary of the Health Department of Abu Dhabi, Marwan Jassim Al Sarkal, CEO of Sharjah Investment and Development Authority, Secretary General of the Emirates Council for Investors Abroad.
The delegation also included representatives of government institutions, investment groups and private sector companies in the UAE, notably the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Advanced Science Office of the Ministry of Cabinet and Future Affairs, the Dubai Airport Free Zone, Dubai Investment Development Corporation, ADNOC, Mubadala, Kizad, and OnTime Group.
