The UAE Government participates in the World Economic Forum for the Middle East and North Africa in Jordan

The Government of the UAE is participating in the World Economic Forum for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), held in Jordan on 6 and 7 April, in addition to about 1,000 government leaders, thinkers and businessmen from more than 50 countries to discuss the impact of new technologies on the Arab world. The UAE, which is under the leadership of HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of the Emirates, Dubai is committed to actively participating in global efforts to find participatory solutions to the challenges of the region and the world.
The delegation includes Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zaidi, Minister of Climate Change and Environment, Omar bin Sultan Al Ulama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Ahmed bin Ali Al Sayegh, Minister of State, HE Abdullah bin Tawq, Secretary General of the Council of Ministers, and Khalfan Belhoul, , And HE Tarek Al Gurg, Chief Executive Officer, Dubai Cares.
The 10 th Regional Meeting of the World Economic Forum for the Middle East and North Africa will be held under the theme “Building New Platforms for Cooperation”. The delegation will take part in 10 pivotal sessions on IVR, Innovation, Emerging Projects, Environment, Open Data, Energy, Jobs and Skills.
The participation of the Government of the UAE reflects its belief in encouraging the dialogue of minds, promoting constructive cooperation and contributing actively to the global efforts to bring about positive change in the future of the people.
The World Economic Forum on the Middle East and North Africa also provides an opportunity for governments to take advantage of the tools of artificial intelligence and advanced technology and to use them to develop vital sectors that affect the lives of their people and the future of humanity.
The Forum is an important regional platform for establishing economic partnerships and encouraging initiatives that promote business environment and economic diversification and contribute to accelerating economic growth opportunities.
The UAE is an important partner of the World Economic Forum. The UAE’s hosting of the Forum’s future global councils is the culmination of a strategic partnership between the UAE Government and the World Economic Forum.
