Value added of non-profit institutions amounted to AED 773.7 million

The value added of the non-profit sector serving households amounted to AED 773.7 million in 2017 compared to AED 303.2 million in 2016, and the total production value reached 637.6 million dirhams in 2017 compared to 710.6 million dirhams in 2016.
The sector of non-profit institutions serving households is one of the main economic sectors. Due to the absence of market values ​​for the products produced by this sector, this sector is calculated according to the method of income to calculate value added according to SNA. Accordingly, the value added is equal to workers’ Hard money and taxes.
The non-profit sector serving households is defined as a non-profit organization that provides goods and services to families free of charge or at nominal prices, including “charities, sports and cultural clubs, theaters, public libraries, associations for women, children and the family and the role of memorizing the Koran.
