The past years witnessed a set of steps that contributed to the consolidation of bilateral relations between the UAE and Kuwait, and launched them towards broad horizons of cooperation and coordination. Where the two countries signed the agreement to establish the “Joint Committee” for bilateral cooperation in 2006 in Kuwait City, and the committee held a number of meetings during which several programs and agreements were signed, including: the activation program in the field of environment for the year 2014-2015, and the executive program for the cultural and artistic agreement between the two countries for the years 2013, 2014 and 2015.
A cooperation program was also signed between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the two countries in the field of diplomatic training and research, a joint cooperation protocol between the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry in the Emirates, a memorandum of cooperation between the Securities and Commodities Authority of the two countries, a memorandum of understanding for industrial cooperation, and a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in The field of oil, gas, petrochemicals and sources of new and renewable energies, and an executive program for cooperation in the field of libraries, culture and arts between the Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture “at that time” and the National Council for Culture, Arts and Literature in the State of Kuwait during the years from 2014 to 2017.
