The UAE’s non-oil foreign trade exchanges with the five BRICS countries (Brazil, the Russian Federation, India, China and South Africa) amounted to about 555 billion dirhams, constituting 25% of the UAE’s total non-oil trade last year, which exceeded Barrier 2.23 trillion dirhams.

According to recent data from the Ministry of Economy, the total imports of the UAE from the five countries amounted to about 407 billion dirhams, which constitutes 73.3% of the total state trade with members of the organization, while the value of re-exports amounted to 91 billion dirhams, representing about 16.4% of this total trade, and exports exceeded 57 billion. , accounting for 10.2%. China, the largest trading partner among the members of the organization with the UAE, came with trade exchanges amounting to 284 billion, then India with 190 billion, the Russian Federation 40 billion, then South Africa with 24.5 billion dirhams, and finally Brazil with 16 billion dirhams.

China

UAE imports from China in 2022 amounted to about 247 billion dirhams, re-exports amounted to 11.2 billion dirhams, and national exports amounted to 26 billion dirhams.

In terms of the five most important commodities in trade exchanges between the two parties, telephones came first with 94 billion, then processing machines with a value of 31 billion, cars with 11.4 billion dirhams, radios and microphones with 4.1 billion dirhams, and ethylene polymers with 4 billion dirhams.

India

The UAE imported Indian goods in 2022, with a value exceeding 100 billion dirhams, re-exports with 49 billion, and national exports with a value of 41 billion.

In terms of the most traded commodities between the two countries, diamonds came first with about 50 billion, gold 15 billion, telephones with 14.5 billion dirhams, petroleum oils with 13.1 billion dirhams, and jewelry with a value of 13 billion.

Russian Federation

The state’s imports from the Russian Federation for the year 2022 amounted to about 30.1 billion dirhams, while the value of re-exports amounted to 9 billion, and national exports amounted to one billion dirhams. Treatment in a billion dirhams, petroleum oils in a billion dirhams.

South Africa

As for the UAE’s non-oil foreign trade with South Africa, the country imported products and goods worth 16.7 billion dirhams, re-exports worth 5 billion, and national exports worth 2.7 billion dirhams.

Diamonds were the most traded commodities between the two countries with 8.2 billion dirhams, gold with a value of 6.1 billion dirhams, copper wires with a value of 1.5 billion dirhams, petroleum oils with 1.4 billion dirhams, and telephones with 700 million dirhams.

Brazil

The UAE imported Brazilian goods and commodities worth 13.5 billion dirhams, re-exports with 2 billion dirhams, and national exports with 400 million dirhams.

Whereas, meat and its offal constituted the most traded commodities with a value of 4 billion dirhams, gold with 2.5 billion dirhams, telephone sets with a value of 1.4 billion dirhams, wood pulp with a value of 1.2 billion dirhams, and cane sugar with a value of 1.2 billion dirhams.
