Traffic jams at the gates of the Bosphorus to transport Ukraine’s grain.. 150 ships and wait 12 days

With the acceleration of the grain export movement from Ukraine, a congestion is forming at the gates of the Bosphorus, where cargo ships are lined up endlessly off the coast of Istanbul.

150 cargo ships, some empty and some loaded, were waiting, on Tuesday, at the entrance and exit of the strait, before undergoing the careful inspection process that would allow them to sail, with the possibility of the waiting period reaching about 12 days sometimes.
The agreement signed with Kyiv and Moscow on July 19 under the auspices of the United Nations and Turkey for the export of Ukrainian grain has allowed the transit of more than 630 ships in both directions since it entered into force on August 1.
