Emirates operates its Airbus A380 to Cairo for the first time

Emirates has announced that it will operate its Airbus A380 to Cairo International Airport on Wednesday, October 2, making Emirates the first airline to operate this aircraft on a regular flight to Egypt.
Emirates intends to use the double-decker aircraft to serve its regular flights to Cairo, confirming the airport’s readiness to receive this giant model.
The Emirates A380 will use EK928, ​​which departs Dubai International Airport at 8:18 am and arrives in Cairo at 10 am and will depart Cairo International Airport at 1:15 pm and arrive in Dubai at 6:45 pm.
Adel Al Reda, Chief Operating Officer, Emirates Airline said: “Our close relationship with Egypt spans over 30 years and we are delighted to reiterate our commitment to the big sister by operating our popular A380 aircraft in Cairo. We are currently preparing to make the A380 experience within our regular service to Cairo. We are delighted to offer a modest addition to the history of the aviation industry in Egypt and we are confident that passengers will enjoy the Emirates A380 experience, especially our innovative products. ”
Emirates offers First Class, Business and Skywards Platinum and Gold members the opportunity to enjoy its own lounge at Cairo International Airport, which opened in 2018. The most popular destinations for Egyptians on the Emirates network include cities in Asia, the Americas and Australia such as Beijing and Shanghai. Hong Kong, Bangkok, Sydney, New Delhi, Mumbai, New York and Washington, DC.
It is worth mentioning that Cairo is one of the first stations that Emirates began to serve, which began operating flights to it in April 1986 and carried on this line since then more than 7.3 million passengers and has witnessed a steady growth to keep pace with customer demand.Emirates currently operates 21 flights a week between Dubai and Cairo.
Earlier this year it announced that it would increase the number of flights by four flights a week from 28 October 2019, bringing the total of Emirates serving Cairo to 25 flights a week.
More than 2,000 Egyptian nationals work in a variety of roles within the Emirates Group, including over 1,000 air crew members.
