4% decline in the Jordanian trade balance deficit

Jordan’s statistics department revealed that the balance of trade deficit “the difference between imports and exports” declined during the first seven months of this year by 3.9%, amounting to 5 million Jordanian dinars, compared to the same period last year. The Department indicated that the value of total exports during this period of the current year amounted to 3 billion and 100 million dinars, registering a rise of 4.6% compared to the same period last year. While the value of national exports during the first seven months of this year 2 billion and 500 million dinars, an increase of 4% compared to 2017. According to the Department, the value of exports amounted to 8 billion and 283 million dinars in 2018, a decrease of 0.9% compared with 2017, and the value of re-exports 500 million dinars during the current year, an increase of 7.5% compared to last year.
