“Invest in Sharjah” reviews future opportunities in the emirate’s economy during the “Investment Management Exhibition” in Germany

The Sharjah Foreign Direct Investment Office (Invest in Sharjah) participated in the Investment Management Exhibition (IME 2023) held recently in Frankfurt under the slogan “Building Bridges” and hosting more than 1,100 participants and about 70 speakers from 45 countries on 5 continents.

 

 

 

 

The Investment Management Exhibition is one of the most prominent annual events that focuses on foreign direct investment trends and facilitating the flow of investments around the world, in addition to being a vital global network that brings together foreign investment agencies and decision makers from various countries.

 

 

 

 

The delegation of the “Invest in Sharjah” office, headed by His Excellency Mohammed Juma Al Musharrakh, Executive Director, with the participation of Hamad Obaid Al Shamsi, Investment Director for Regional Promotion, and Latifa Obaid Al Ali, Head of Marketing and Public Relations at Invest in Sharjah, held a series of visits and meetings with the aim of introducing the promising investment opportunities in the Emirate of Sharjah. He presented the growth path of modern and vital sectors and the opportunities they produce for global investors, in addition to strengthening cooperation relations with the German and international business and investment community.

 

 

 

 

In an effort to achieve these goals, the “Invest in Sharjah” office allocated a pavilion at the exhibition through which it reviewed the strategic advantages and facilities that Sharjah provides to investors searching for opportunities in the emirate. It also participated in the exhibition’s sessions and seminars, which addressed the most prominent challenges and opportunities in the field of foreign direct investment in light of global changes, reviewing Initiatives offered by the emirate and investment opportunities in it.

 

 

 

 

On the sidelines of the exhibition, Mohammed Al Musharrakh gave a presentation in which he reviewed the strategic advantages that contributed to making the emirate a preferred destination for investors, during which he spoke about the various sectors in the emirate and the services provided by the Sharjah Foreign Direct Investment Office to investors wishing to expand and grow, explaining the investment advantages and the general investment climate in Sharjah, government agencies and regions. Al Hurra, which works to support various strategic and emerging sectors such as the digital economy, sustainability, and artificial intelligence.

 

 

 

 

The Sharjah Foreign Direct Investment Office, representing the Emirate of Sharjah, received the “Excellence in Business Environment” award in appreciation from the Investment Management Exhibition for the efforts of the office and the emirate in creating a friendly and attractive business environment for investors.

 

 

 

 

His Excellency Mohammed Juma Al Musharrakh said: Participation in the “Investment Management Exhibition” reflects our endeavors towards building partnerships and consolidating relations with the most important economic and investment centers in the world. We have in the emirate an advanced development economic scene that provides great opportunities for investors from all over the world, especially for those searching for sustainable strategic investments.

 

 

 

 

He added that there are strategic relations between Sharjah and the German economy, and the emirate hosts more than 560 German companies, including 397 companies in its free zones, according to the latest statistics for the year 2023, and the volume of export and re-export between Sharjah and Germany exceeded 40 million dirhams in the same period.

 

 

 

 

Within the framework of expanding the network of relations and enhancing cooperation with international companies, the Invest in Sharjah delegation met with the Invest in Armenia delegation during the exhibition, and the two parties discussed the strategic relations between the two countries and the recent decisions regarding mutual exemption from entry visas for citizens of the two countries and their positive impact on the investment environment.

 

 

 

 

The office also held a series of meetings with leading companies in various fields, including Helead Equity Partners, a leading company in empowering businessmen and investors. During the meeting, ways of joint cooperation and investment opportunities in strategic sectors in the Emirate of Sharjah were discussed.

 

 

 

 

The office met with Tech Quartier, one of the leading companies in the fields of agriculture, food technology, environment, environmental and social governance, financial services, and ecosystem management. During the meeting, they discussed enhancing cooperation and knowledge exchange between the company and the “Invest in Sharjah” office regarding developing innovative solutions in relevant sectors. Shared interest in what contributes to supporting an environmentally friendly economy and promoting innovation in Sharjah and the Gulf region in general.

 

 

 

 

In a related context, the office held a meeting with “Deutsche Hospitality”, which represents an exceptional portfolio that includes more than 150 hotels in 19 countries on three continents. During the meeting, the role of the hospitality sector in supporting the tourism sector in Sharjah was emphasized, which is witnessing continuous growth thanks to the diversity of attractions, activities and events that… It attracts visitors from all over the world.
