Abu Dhabi hotels attract 2.8 million guests in 7 months, a growth of 32%, 3.4 billion dirhams, revenues

The number of hotel guests in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi has grown significantly during the seven months of the beginning of this year, reaching 2.8 million guests, with a growth rate of 32% compared to the same period last year.

The emirate’s hotels achieved revenues of 3.4 billion dirhams between January and July, a growth rate of 24% compared to the same period last year.

The emirate’s hotels achieved an average occupancy rate of 70% during the first seven months of last year.

The average number of nights spent by residents of the emirate in 7 months was 2.6 nights, a decrease of 17% compared to the same period last year.

The average price of hotel rooms increased during the period to 412 dirhams, a growth rate of 23% compared to the same period last year.

While hotel rooms recorded an average revenue of 287 dirhams, a growth rate of 23% compared to the same period last year.

UAE nationals ranked first in the list of hotel guests in terms of nationality during the seven months, with 606 thousand guests, followed by guests from India with 310 thousand guests, guests from the United Kingdom with 111 thousand guests, from Egypt with 102 thousand guests, and from the Philippines with a number 101,000 inmates, 95,000 inmates from Russia, 92,000 inmates from China, 80,000 inmates from Saudi Arabia, and 69,000 in the United States.

Last July, the number of Abu Dhabi hotel guests reached 424,000, a growth rate of 23% compared to the same month of 2022.

The average hotel nights spent by guests in Abu Dhabi hotels last July reached 2.5 nights, a decrease of 7% compared to the same month of 2022.

The average price of a hotel night was 331 dirhams last July, a growth rate of 14% compared to the same month of 2022, while hotel rooms recorded an average revenue of 221 dirhams per night last July, a growth rate of 19% compared to the same month of 2022.

Abu Dhabi hotels achieved revenues of 367 million dirhams last July, a growth rate of 14% compared to the same month last year.

Inmates from the UAE topped the list of the highest inmates in terms of nationality with 112 thousand inmates, followed by inmates from India with 39 thousand inmates, from Saudi Arabia with 21 thousand inmates, from China with 19 thousand inmates, from the Philippines with 16 thousand inmates, and from Egypt with 15 One thousand inmates, and from Kuwait, with 12,000 inmates.
