Abu Dhabi Airports is accelerating key experiments to test the readiness of Terminal A

Abu Dhabi on September 17

Abu Dhabi Airports is conducting the largest live experiment to test the readiness of Passenger Terminal A, with the participation of more than 6,000 volunteers from the Abu Dhabi community, as part of its accelerated preparations for the opening of the building next November.

Readiness trials play a critical role in simulations designed specifically to test the durability of equipment, evaluate employee performance, and examine the effectiveness of procedures in key operating areas within the building.

Systems and processes tested included check-in and baggage claim, security screening, boarding gates, and customs procedures.

Elena Sorlini, Managing Director and Interim CEO of Abu Dhabi Airports, said: “Our commitment to excellence is the main driver behind our efforts to prepare for the opening of Terminal A, as we focus through these tests on conducting wide-ranging assessments to ensure the speed, efficiency and implementation of operations.”

Abu Dhabi Airports will continue to conduct more large-scale tests of Terminal A facilities during the months of September and October, and this will be done with the participation of more volunteers.
