10.8% The prices of agricultural producers decreased during seven months

Jordan’s statistics department confirmed that the prices of agricultural producers fell by 10.8 percent for the first seven months of this year compared with the same period of 2017. The cumulative index reached 103.1 in 2018 compared with 115.6 for the same period of 2017.
The decline in the rate of the price indices of a number of crops contributed to this decline, the most notable being tomatoes, 50 percent, potatoes 17 percent, eggplants 14 percent, green peppers 11 percent, hot peppers 9 percent, beans 3 percent,
The results also showed a rise in the agricultural producer price index by 5.5 percent for July 2018 compared to the same month of 2017
