3,500 applications for participation in the “Emirates Award for Leadership in the Labor Market”

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation confirmed that the first session of the Emirates Award for Leadership in the Labor Market, in which participation was open from June 1 to August 31, 2023, witnessed a remarkable turnout from target groups that include private sector companies and their employees, in addition to business services partners, Pointing out that this large turnout reflects the level of confidence in the award among the private sector, and the level of competitiveness in the UAE labor market.

 

 

 

 

The Ministry revealed that the number of applications it received through the website dedicated to the award amounted to more than 3,500 applications, including all categories of the award, which gain special importance, as it is held under the generous patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the UAE, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of the Diwan. The Presidency, which enhances its pioneering role in developing the ambitious development process for the labor market and the state’s vision and economic trends in the field of sustainable development.

 

 

 

 

She pointed out that the broad participation, in light of the criteria required for the award, confirms the leadership of establishments operating in the country, and their keenness to partner with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, which contributes to raising the efficiency and productivity of the labor market, and enhancing the well-being of the workforce.

 

The award is witnessing a clear interest from major companies and national institutions to sponsor it, as the number of sponsors has reached 27 leading entities in the country, which reflects the solidity of the concept of social responsibility in the Emirati labor market, and the extent of its confidence in government policies and directions that have achieved prosperity and economic leadership for the country.

 

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation organized 27 virtual workshops to introduce the importance of the Emirates Award for Leadership in the Labor Market, and its role in enhancing the competitiveness of the country’s labor market and increasing its productivity and efficiency, and introducing the target audience to the great contribution and social responsibility of private sector companies, and the reflection of this matter on the status of these companies locally and globally. And the compatibility of visions and goals and deepening the partnership with the Ministry’s directions by supporting its integrated strategy to bring the UAE labor market to first place in the world.

 

The workshops, which were attended by more than 1,000 representatives of establishments, included a detailed explanation of the main and sub-categories of the award, the method of participation and submitting files, in addition to answering questions and inquiries, which contributed to increasing the establishments’ interest in participating, by motivating them to compete and clarifying the idea of the award. And show their chances of winning in their various categories.

 

Commenting on the role of the award in improving many aspects of workers’ rights and providing an ideal environment for them, the Ministry said that the continuous development of all aspects related to the UAE labor market and enhancing its competitiveness is at the top of its priorities, explaining that the objectives of the award are to honor distinguished practices in the labor market, and to protect Labor rights and motivation, and enhancing the level of well-being and quality of life of the workforce in private sector establishments, by paying attention to several factors that are summed up in providing an environment that stimulates creativity, supports innovation and achievement, allows a greater contribution of employees to the private sector success story, and provides all forms of stability, health support and physical comfort.
