Ajman Chamber discusses economic cooperation with Bangladesh

Abdullah Al Muwaiei, Chairman of the Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and HE Mohammed Iqbal Hussain, Consul General of the Republic of Bangladesh, discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation.
This came during the meeting held at the headquarters of Ajman Chamber in the presence of Salem Al Suwaidi, Director General of the Chamber, Nasser Al-Zafari, Executive Director of Planning and Member Support, and Marwan Hareb, Director of Business Promotion and Investment Development.
During the meeting, they reviewed the most important investment opportunities between the two parties, the mechanisms of strengthening bilateral relations between businessmen and participation in specialized events and exhibitions, thus increasing the volume of trade exchange between the two sides.
Abdullah Al Muwaiei stressed the strong relations between the two countries and the diversification of investment opportunities through which the bilateral relations between the UAE, Bangladesh in general and the Emirate of Ajman and Bangladesh in particular can be increased.
And reviewed the most important opportunities and economic fundamentals owned by the Emirate of Ajman, praising the directives of the wise leadership of all parties concerned with the economic issue on the need to provide facilities and flexibility to the business community in the emirate.
He pointed out that the number of enterprises of the Bangladeshi businessmen in the emirate is close to 7,000 establishments, pointing out that the metal products come at the head of the most important products exported from the Emirate of Ajman to Bangladesh followed by shoes, oils and grease.
For his part, Mohammed Iqbal Hussein thanked the warm welcome, stressing the need to hold bilateral meetings between businessmen of the two parties to discuss the most important investment opportunities, and gave an overview of the diversification of the economy in the Republic of Bangladesh and investment opportunities available.
The participants stressed the need to participate in specialized exhibitions organized by the two parties, and the importance of cooperation and investment opportunities in the education sector through the Ajman International Exhibition for Education and Training, which provides the opportunity for direct meeting between universities in the UAE and Bangladesh.
