Ajman Economy Begins to Collect Corporate Responsibility Fees from Companies

The Department of Economic Development in Ajman started activation of the social responsibility fees on companies and establishments pursuant to the Cabinet Decision No. 2 of 2018 on the activation of the corporate responsibility and corporate responsibility issued by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai in February.

The fees for the social liability item from companies and establishments are issued when issuing or renewing a new commercial license at the amount of 1500 dirhams, as of March 1.

The aim of the decision is to establish the organizational framework for the contribution of social responsibility in the country and to set the general framework for incentives and privileges for the exercise of social responsibility in addition to defining the roles and responsibilities of the concerned authorities to organize and motivate corporate responsibility.

Mr. Ali Issa Al Nuaimi, Director General of the Department said that social responsibility contributes to the development and sustainability of various sectors, especially the economic sector through the adoption of social responsibility initiatives and enhancing the spirit of cooperation and tender between the Department and companies and establishments.
