The Arab Public Finance Forum, which kicked off today in Dubai under the theme “Reforming the Public Finance in the Arab Countries,” discussed the challenges faced by the Arab economies, finding solutions and ways to address them and reducing their effects. .
The first session of the forum discussed “Macroeconomic developments and their impact on the Arab countries”, macroeconomic developments and their impact on the Arab countries, especially after the economic slowdown in 2017. Macroeconomic stability and sustainability has become a major priority for the governments of the Arab countries. In a statement to the Ministry of Finance during the session, Younis Haji Al-Khouri, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance stressed the need to provide the basic possibilities for establishing a digital economy and issuing the necessary legislation to win the trust of the clients and protect the intellectual property, which is one of the most important elements of the information industry.
The UAE government is currently in charge of the Artificial Intelligence Program and Strategy, in order to anticipate the challenges posed by the rapid spread of digital economy technologies and to develop the necessary legislative and regulatory frameworks.
