The Federal Customs Authority, at its headquarters in Dubai, discussed means of enhancing joint customs cooperation between the UAE and China by exchanging information and experiences on best commercial and customs practices in the two countries on the sidelines of a recent visit by a Chinese delegation from the Ministry of Industry, Security and Export- United Arab Emirates.
The statistics of the Federal Customs Authority showed that the total value of non-oil trade / direct trade and trade of free zones and customs warehouses of the UAE with China reached 116.7 billion dirhams (32 billion dollars) during the first nine months of 2018.
The value of UAE imports from China during the period amounted to 102.6 billion dirhams (28 billion dollars), while UAE exports reached 3.6 billion dirhams (980 million dollars) and the value of re-exports 10.4 billion dirhams (2.9 billion dollars).
