The Eastern Region of the Emirate of Sharjah is preparing to host a number of distinguished exhibitions starting this year to contribute to providing the needs of residents, traders and investors and to promote sustainable development that serves the vital sectors.
“The Eastern Province has become a major destination for exhibitions, conferences and events in various commercial, industrial, agricultural and cultural fields, which are an important component of the economy of the region in particular and the emirate’s economy in general,” said Saif Mohammed Al Madfaa, CEO of Expo Sharjah.
He pointed to the strategic location of the eastern region, tourism and heritage sites and natural sites, which gives the Khorfakkan Center a competitive advantage in organizing special exhibitions aimed at small and medium-sized entrepreneurs specialized and general events that will be intensified during the coming period; monthly in 2018.
This came during a recent meeting with the management and staff of the Khorfakkan Center in the presence of Khalil Al Mansouri, Branch Manager, Khorfakkan Expo Director, to review the major achievements of last year, review the plans of the current year and identify the most important exhibitions and events to be held at the Center for serving the residents of the region. Khalil Al Mansouri said that last year saw a 10 per cent growth in the number of exhibitions hosted by the Khorfakkan Expo Center, where we have achieved remarkable development in the level and quality of the activities we have been successful in attracting, and we are always providing the advantages and facilities that enhance the contribution of the exhibitions and conferences sector The various economic, commercial, industrial, agricultural and tourism sectors in the region.
