Jordanian industry and trade releases 129 violations in the first week of Ramadan

The Jordanian Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply released 122 violations during the first week of Ramadan in various governorates of the Kingdom, all because of the lack of clear prices, compared to 129 violations during the same period last year 2018.
The ministry spokesman said that the ministry will not be negligent in taking all legal measures against violators, and that control campaigns have been intensified on the markets in implementation of the monitoring plan prepared by the ministry for the holy month of Ramadan, calling on citizens to report violations that they see in the markets to tighten control On the markets and progress complaints through the application of the consumer complaints system available around the clock and interact with the electronic applications offered by the Ministry and aimed at activating the control of markets.
Al-Barmawi said that the ministry’s plan during Ramadan aims to provide all goods in the markets with multiple varieties of high quality and prices that suit different segments of society, not only the liberalization of violations, noting that the control teams operate according to a specific timetable to ensure effective control around the clock and in various governorates The kingdom.
He added that the ministry is monitoring daily price indices for all goods in the local market and compare them to the variables that occur in the world markets and it will take appropriate measures in terms of the ceilings of any commodity in the event that the height is unjustified.
He stressed that the ministry and within the control role intensive markets follow up offers and downloads by some shops and malls, especially related to food products to ensure the validity of these offers and commitment to them, and to ensure the provision of consumer goods in sufficient quantities and multiple options at appropriate prices to meet the needs of citizens.
He called on consumers to not rush to buy and trade between shops in terms of prices, stressing the abundance of goods in large quantities in the markets and price stability.
