The index of the Karachi Stock Exchange, the largest stock market in Pakistan, closed down 0.49% or 171 points, and closed at 34716 points.
A total of 3,012,228 shares were traded in 273 transactions. The market capitalization of 75 companies rose, while 174 stocks declined and 24 stocks settled.
