RAK Economic considers 837 grievances and complaints from dealers during 2017

The Department of Economic Development (RED) has formed a committee to look into all matters affecting the business and affect them negatively. The committee’s chairman, legal adviser Ihab Abdel Ghaffaralqouni, said in a press release that “MediaN” obtained a copy of it, that the Committee received 837 grievances and complaints from dealers during 2017 and found through the examination that more than 50 percent of these complaints related to the request to reduce fines for censorship For reasons related to the holder of the license such as the existence of cases pending in the courts or passing through the conditions of the sick or travel partner or sponsor and the inability to complete the procedure or a dispute with the lessor about the renewal of the contract did not renew the license, as well as grievances against the breach of camera installation obligations in respect of the system of protection of enterprise security And others.
He said that the committee has resolved all complaints and violations by 100%, where in many irregularities it has applied the minimum fine set in accordance with the approved schedule, and in some others to the work of amicable settlement not exceeding 50% of the amount of fine according to Law No. 8 of 2016 Engage in economic activities
