Ras Al Khaimah executes 22 market control campaigns

RAKIA has implemented a number of regulatory campaigns in the emirate’s markets as part of its strategic plans. The staff of the Department of Control and Trade Protection has completed 22 control campaigns in 2017, which are divided into 13 collective campaigns across the emirate.

Ahmed Ali Al Baloushi, Director of Commercial Control and Protection Department, said in a press release that “MediaN” obtained a copy of the report, which found 8 products that do not meet the specifications and standards, in addition to settling 5 complaints against 18 shops related to well-known brands.
He added that the management is committed to carrying out the campaigns throughout the year, in order to ensure the position of markets, and ensure that they are free from wrong practices and deter offenders, and to know the extent of their commitment to apply the rules and regulations in force.
