“Sharjah National Oil” starts the operation of LPG gas loading and loading project

The Sharjah National Oil Corporation (SNOC) has announced the launch and loading of the liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) project at the Sharjah Sajaa complex in accordance with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qassimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah.
Shaikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Chairman of Sharjah National Oil Corporation, stressed the company’s keenness to meet the increasing demand for liquefied petroleum gas and the implementation of related projects in accordance with the directives of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah.
He said that the new project, which is in line with the objectives of the institution and its future directions is the result of a study conducted in 2016 and confirmed the increasing demand for liquefied petroleum gas in the domestic market as well as in the region.
Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qassimi said that the Sharjah National Oil Corporation has been working since its establishment in the eighties of the last century to produce two components of LPG / propane and butane / for export only because of the attractiveness of global markets.
He pointed out that the increasing domestic demand for liquefied petroleum gas provides the Corporation with the opportunity to diversify its commercial activities to include mixing its products of propane and butane and selling it locally as an additional substitute for export.
The project’s start-up phase includes mixing facilities, road tank loading facilities and the use of existing storage capacity. The new infrastructure is designed to accommodate any future expansion of the project and the project will be fully automated in compliance with technical standards and global safety standards.
