US stocks open higher

NEW YORK (Reuters) – US stocks opened higher today, buoyed by comments by US Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross that the United States and China are far from resolving their trade dispute.
The Dow Jones industrial average <.DJI> was up 4.34 points, or 0.02 percent, at 24579.96. The Standard & Poor’s 500 Index was up 0.14 points, or 0.01 percent, to 2,638.84. The Nasdaq Composite Index was up 16.49 points, or 0.23 percent, at 7042.25. Point.
