Dubai on August 25th

The Dubai Maritime Authority of the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation today launched the “Know Your Rights” campaign with the aim of introducing the rights of merchants and beneficial owners of goods in the maritime sector, which is one of the most important economic drivers in Dubai.
The Dubai Maritime Authority is the government entity responsible for regulating, coordinating and supervising all aspects of the maritime sector in Dubai, and it focuses its efforts on ensuring the provision of the best services to customers at the sector level.

The “Know Your Rights” campaign for customers in the maritime sector is an extension of the Dubai Maritime Authority’s commitment to customers, and will continue over the coming months.
Sheikh Dr. Saeed bin Ahmed Al Maktoum, Executive Director of the Dubai Maritime Authority, said: “We aim, through this new campaign to protect the rights of dealers in the maritime sector, to emphasize the rights of merchants and owners of goods, and to remind them of their entitlements and the protection provided to them by the world-class Dubai maritime system.” .
As part of the Dubai Maritime Authority’s proactive efforts, its new campaign efforts will not stop at informing customers of their rights, but rather will raise awareness of the platforms available to them to report any complaints or challenges they have, and provide all means to enhance communication between the authority regulating the maritime sector and the concerned parties.
In the coming months, the Dubai Maritime Authority will communicate directly with the beneficiary owners of goods to inform them of their rights, in addition to hosting a series of virtual workshops to inform the beneficiary owners of goods and provide them with adequate explanations and clarifications about their entitlements.
Sheikh Al Maktoum concluded: “Providing accurate and adequate information to merchants and beneficiary owners of goods enables them to make informed decisions that suit their interests. This campaign stems from our belief in the Dubai Maritime Authority in the role of the importance of policies, laws and systems to protect customers as solid foundations for building successful businesses. When we enhance confidence We pave the way for further growth and leadership in the maritime sector in Dubai.”
