The exhibition recorded the first lines of its success story with the visit of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul, for its first session in 2003, transforming it into a global heritage platform full of activities that celebrate the rich national heritage and the cultural and historical legacy that reflects the development and growth the country has achieved. At all levels.

Over the course of its first decade, from 2003 to 2012, the exhibition achieved continuous growth and development. In its first session, it attracted 40 companies from 14 countries, and in the second session in 2004, approximately 192 companies from 21 countries participated, and in the third session in 2005, about 353 companies from 36 countries, the fourth session in 2006 was attended by 525 companies from 42 countries, and the fifth session in 2007 was attended by more than 500 exhibitors from 40 countries.

In the sixth session, which was held in 2008, it attracted 526 companies from 37 countries, and the seventh session in 2009 in which 573 companies from 37 countries participated, and the eighth session in 2010 attracted 589 companies from 30 countries, and the ninth session in 2011 in which 596 companies from 30 countries participated, while the The tenth session 2012, with the participation of more than 600 exhibitors from 40 countries.

The process of sustainable growth and development continued at the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition during its second decade from 2013 until its current session in 2023, which witnesses the participation of more than 1,200 companies and brands from 65 countries.

Majid Ali Al Mansouri, Chairman of the Supreme Organizing Committee of the Exhibition and Secretary General of the Emirates Falconers Club, confirmed in a statement to the Emirates News Agency, WAM, that the exhibition, since its first session in 2003, has witnessed continuous growth and development, and constitutes a pioneering platform for celebrating national heritage and its sustainability, noting that the slogan The twentieth session of the exhibition “Sustainability and Heritage… with a renewed spirit” came to emphasize the message of the exhibition since its launch, which is the preservation and sustainability of national heritage.

Al Mansouri pointed out the keenness of all national companies at the exhibition to shed light on the UAE’s rich and sustainable heritage, pointing out that the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition in its current session is witnessing a program full of events and conferences that embody the importance of this specialized event, the largest of its kind in the region. And Africa.

The Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition provides visitors with the opportunity to learn about the culture of the Emirates and its authentic heritage through the various and innovative activities it offers, which aim to raise awareness of the importance of preserving the environment and wildlife, in addition to encouraging them to practice authentic and environmentally friendly sports in a sustainable manner. This year, visitors will witness more than 200 activities and events that will be held in the exhibition halls, in addition to a number of specialized heritage, artistic and cultural competitions, for which 64 prizes have been awarded.

The “Sustainability of Falconry… Facing the Challenges of the Twenty-First Century” conference, and the “Role of the Media in Preserving Falconry and Intangible Cultural Heritage” conference, organized by the Emirates Falconers Club, will also be held within the event’s activities. The exhibition includes 11 diverse sectors, including various activities, including arts and crafts, equestrian and falconry, hunting and safaris, hunting and camping equipment, hunting and shooting weapons and equipment, environmental preservation and cultural heritage, outdoor entertainment vehicles and equipment, veterinary products and services, and fishing and marine sports equipment.

The event is being held for the third time in its history over 7 consecutive days, in response to the desires of both visitors and exhibitors.
